Supply Chain Planner

The Role

The right candidate for the job loves the outdoors and data-driven problem solving in equal measure: we are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and innovative individual to join our rapidly growing team.

You will be working directly with the Operations and Finance Manager to ensure a smooth transition of our bikepacking products from the manufacturing stage to the delivery of our product into our warehouses and onwards to cyclists across the globe. Typical daily tasks will include:

  • Stock forecasting – Operating and improving current stock forecasting models; using both historical data, seasonal trends, and sales intelligence to deliver an accurate, assumption-based plan for stock delivery
  • Stock ordering – Working with ops and finance team to deliver stock orders within budget according to sales targets, and doing everything possible to achieve the goal of being stock positive
  • Managing manufacturing timelines – Ensuring stock schedules are delivered on time, keeping track of various product lines with multiple suppliers, many with varying manufacturing and material lead times
  • Supplier relationship management – Maintaining positive relationships with our suppliers in the Far East through regular online meetings and conversations
  • Problem-solving – Anticipating and resolving supply shortages to help to minimise supply chain delays and costs
  • Product data insights – Using trend analysis, sales cycles, and market analysis to provide key demand information for the product team
  • Freight delivery – working with our freight forwarders to ensure competitive pricing and efficient, timely deliveries of stock to our UK warehouse

Must have skills…

  • 3+ years’ experience in a supply chain role
  • A demonstrated, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
  • Experience in data management
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing relationships
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A proactive, flexible attitude to work Nice to have skills…
  • Experience of in-depth data analysis and management
  • Proficient use of Python, Visual Basic or other, similar software
  • Experience working in a small business or start-up environment
