The AeroPack Trunk is a 20L roll top bag that attaches to any S or X Series rack in a matter of seconds.
Connector to be applied to the AeroPack Trunk Top Bag, for use with the X Series Pannier Racks and the S Series Trunk Racks.
Not for use with the AeroPack Rigid Seat Packs.
The AeroPack Trunk is designed to fit seamlessly to our X and S series racks with minimal fuss.
The AeroPack Trunk is constructed of a high-frequency welded, fully-waterproof, high-performance laminate skin.
We developed the AeroPack Trunk so that the rack could remain attached to bike and the pack could be easily removed.
The Trunk SX attaches to the X or S Series rack using a CNC-machined aluminium 6061-T6 alloy, together with stainless steel pins, to create an incredibly strong and rattle-free connection.
The unique roll-top opening of the AeroPack makes it super easy to pack and find your belongings whether it’s on or off the bike.
Use the twin rear light mounts to be seen and stay safe, while reflective strips provide additional visibility.
Keep your most-needed items on hand in a zipped outer pocket.
The twin stacking straps offer the ability to quickly, and easily stack items on top of the pack.
One of the challenges with any roll top bag is the speed with which you can enter the main body of the bag. The Direct Access Pocket allows you to get in to the main body of the bag without opening the roll top.
In a long journey, it’s often the time you’re stopped that makes the difference.
With the AeroPack light mount it enables you to fit any seatpost light to the back of the AeroPack for maximum visibility.

I had been looking for a long time for a pannier rack purely for panniers, to fit a disc brake bike and when I saw Tailfin I had to buy one. I bought the X series pannier rack and a pair of the Super Light bags, and quickly & easily, fitted it to my Kinesis GF Ti Disc bike (which has disc brakes but still uses a QR skewer). The pdf instructions that you can get sent a link to, are simple to follow
I have been using this set up to commute to work, which is a 56.4-mile round trip, virtually every day (and still working in the pandemic), for a few months now (it’s on Strava, lol). I carry about 3.5kg (sometimes up to 6kg in eahc, if I need to take more kit & food, etc. into work) in each pannier (laptop in one, emergency training shoes & dry clothes in the other. No one to pick me up should the bike become un-rideable for whatever reason). I have to say, when the bags are balanced, I hardly notice they are there, the handling is brilliant, and I can throw the bike around almost as normal.
I bought thru axle fittings so that I could use the rack on another disc bike (Trek Emonda ALR5) and then bought the AeroPack trunk top bag to use on its own when I am just out for a ride (to hold the emergency training shoes, etc.). The rack clips on and off each bike quickly and easily. All the bags clip on and off the rack easily, are very robust, have places to fit lights and hold lots of stuff! I have bought some more axle fittings to use with my summer carbon bikes while I still have to be careful out on the road due to the pandemic. I can now swap the rack between any of four bikes on a whim, without having to think about the effort involved, and finding the right spanners, etc.
I think the Tailfin products are well made and well thought out kit, it is not cheap, but very much worth it. If you want good kit you have to pay for it!
Looks even better in reality. Almost the reason to buy a bike
