pannier bags (22 litre)

The bags are light, which is very nice. I bought the 22 litre ones, but I think that the actual volume (which can be used) is less than 22 litre. I had ortlieb bags before in 20 litre, and they are bigger than the 22 litre bags from Tailfin.
Moreover, at the bottom the bags are rather narrow and the bags fall down easily when packed.

Best Pannierbags ever

The bags can be attached securely, are comparatively lightweight, and can even be closed in two ways. It couldn't be better, except that the interior could be brightly colored (white or red), which would make searching for things inside easier.

Excellent quality

This was part of my rig for a 525-mile tour, paired with my AeroPack, and I'm very happy with it. I'm impressed with the quality of the hardware. The internal frame and compression straps keep it tight and stable - no flopping around.

Stable fixing is the main advantage

Interest of the Pannier bags is that they are firmly attached to the tailfin Pannier Rack. Absolutely no move of the bags while riding.
That is the only good thing compared to my another back packs : they lack of side pockets, internal pocket is hardly useable and gain of weight not that huge comparted to some other good pack options from other brands

Thanks for taking the time out to provide your feedback, The Pannier bag origianlly featured an external pocket however after feedback from customers this was removed in the latest bag design. the Internal/removal sleeve is a handy additioal for both Laptop and document storage.

What is the difference between the Super Light and Ultra Durable?

The key difference is the material between them. The SL Panniers use a lighter grade nylon and weigh approx. 120g less than the Ultra Durable ones. The Ultra Durable bags are constructed with tougher, hypalon material, making it more robust. The bags have the same mounting system, the same internal frame and are both 100% waterproof. What is the maximum weight limit the bags can carry?

Both the SL and UD Panniers have a weight limit of 9kg. This weight is for road riding only and for off-road riding, we recommend carrying 50% less weight (4.5kg).

How are they secured to the rack?

They are secured to the rack via our X Clamp technology – a precision-engineered, CNC machined aluminium stop-action clamp which tightly secures the bag to the rack in 2 places, eliminating all rattle and movement when riding even off-road.

How quickly can you attach and remove them from the rack?

The bags remove and attach easily in a matter of seconds.

Do these have a Carry Strap?

Yes, all 22L Pannier come with a shoulder strap included.

Do the packing cubes fit?

The packing cubes are designed to fit with the Cargo and Rack Top Bags, (the 6L packing cube tapers one end), but they do fit in the 22L panniers ok.

Can I get spare/replacement parts?

Yes, we sell replacement parts and spares for the 22L Panniers as well as offering a crash replacement discount for incidents where more than a replacement part will work.

Do the 22L Panniers contain an air valve?

Yes, the 22L panniers contain an air valve.
