For a number of reasons, we feel that sales and discounts aren’t great — for businesses or customers:
- Fairness – Pricing consistency is the fairest way. We don’t want our customers to experience the frustration of having bought something, only to see it discounted the following week.
- A considered purchase – Our aim is to help our customers make considered purchases to help get the best out of our products. We want you to love our gear, which more often comes from careful consideration, not impulse decisions.
- No seasonality – Our products aren’t tied to seasons, we want you to use them all year round. Unlike some businesses, we don’t change our product range seasonally, so there is no old stock to clear for new arrivals either.
- Smooth sailing – Sales-driven buying patterns can disrupt smooth operations. We want to ensure our business runs predictably, without peaks and troughs caused by discount-driven rushes.
Are there any exceptions?
Yes. Like all good rules, there are one or two circumstances that require a little more nuance.
- If you damage your gear in a crash, we offer a crash replacement discount to help you get back on your bike.
- If you’ve experienced poor service, a manufacturing defect, or any issue with our gear, we’ll go out of our way to make it right — whether that’s a partial refund or a discount on a future purchase.
