Carbon fibre offers exceptional strength to weight, meaning a lighter arch that is still capable of carrying the same load as our Alloy arches. If weight saving is a priority for you, then carbon fibre is the way to go.

Alloy

If you’re heading off-road, away from civilisation, then we’d recommend our Alloy options. Why? In worst case scenarios (dropping or crashing your bike) an Alloy Arch can withstand abuse a little better and can possibly be repaired or ridden when damaged – it will tend to bend. The Alloy options has additional triple bosses to attach accessories such as a Cage.

Whats the difference between our axles?

We supply 1 of these 3 axles with all of our rear racks. The axle you need will depend on your bike.

Single Thru Axle

Modern bikes use thru axles, select the single thru axle if you know your pitch thread.

Universal Thru Axle

Ships with multiple thru axles to fit all bikes

Quick Release Axle

Usually found on older bikes and are usually hollow with a lever on one side.

These Packing Cubes have been designed to simplify the packing process and to maximise the capacity inside Tailfin’s Rear Packs by incorporating clever shaping, thoughtful details, and high-performance fabrics.

With all three weighing less than 155g, we think that better organisation is worth the minor weight penalty.

Which Lightmount?

Cateye Wearable X Light

Clips onto loops in the CargoPack. (Not compatible with SpeedPack)

Adjustable Light mount (Seat Post Mimic)

Screws into the base of the SpeedPack and CargoPack. Allows seatpost-mounted lights to be attached.

16L Mini Pannier: Laptop Holster

Made of elastic and soft fabric, the Laptop Holster is designed to be used with a laptop case which will keep the laptop protected from the other contents of the bag. On the outside of the Laptop Holster is a useful zipped organiser pocket for everyday essentials.

The Laptop Holster effectively suspends a laptop within the bag, creating a gap between the laptop and the bottom of the bag, creating a false floor much like those found in high-end backpacks. If the pannier were to be dropped (or even placed down overenthusiastically), the structure of the pannier would hit the ground first and take some of the force out of the impact, ensuring the laptop doesn’t contact anything hard. Modular protection for up to 14-inch laptops, complete with zippered stash pocket.
