Dependable straps

Dependable strap. Have used it for just a few rides with a mini cage on road and modestly demanding gravel (day rides, no overnighters yet). It just works and is quiet. To be clear, I do a bit of bikepacking and more gravel, and have had issues with a lot of gear not being fit for purpose in seemingly modest use conditions. It really seems like Tailfin is just trying to make durable and lasting gear. I never post online reviews either.

The strap is relatively long and should fit any water bottle or relatively large circumference bags—certainly whatever you need with a mini-cage.

The only regret that seems plausible is if you get the wrong size, but I have not messed around with other companies' rubber straps, nor am I a rubber-specialized materials scientist.

Can I use a Cargo Strap with any brand of cargo cage?

Yes! Although we recommend using Tailfin Cargo Cages for the best experience, all Tailfin Cargo Straps are sized to work perfectly with any style of cargo cage.

Are Straps included with Tailfin Cage Packs?

Straps are not included in the price of a Cage Pack. You can however add a set (2) of straps (at a discounted price) when ordering a Cage Pack.

Which length straps are for which Cage Packs?

We specifically designed three strap lengths to match the storage capacity of the three different volume Cage Packs. When you order a set of straps with a Cage Pack we will provide the most suitable length. Our pairings are: 1.7L Cage Pack + 40cm strap length. 3L Cage Pack + 50cm strap length. 5L Cage Pack + 65cm strap length.

Can I use the straps with other brand bags?

Absolutely. Tailfin Cargo Straps are designed to be compatible with any form and brand of dry bag.

Are they suitable for bags with daisy chain style attachments?

Yes! At 20mm in width the Tailfin Cargo Straps are compatible with almost all daisy chain style attachments.

Can I use the straps for other applications?

The Cargo Straps can be used for any application where you need to secure a load to your bike. From tents to baguettes, each strap will hold it safely and securely.

Can I get replacement buckles or straps?

We guarantee our buckles to be virtually indestructible but understand things can happen. If you have a problem with your Tailfin Cargo Strap please contact support@tailfin.cc

How many straps do I need to secure a load safely?

After thorough testing we have found two straps to be more than secure however you can always add more!
