Where can I mount the Cage Packs?

The Cage Packs can be mounted with a Cargo Cage anywhere on the bike with mounting points such as the frame, forks or Alloy Tailfin Rack system.

Can I use a cage pack on its own without a Cargo Cage?

Unfortunately not. Our Cage Packs are only to be used with our Cargo Cages or a Third-Party Cargo Cage. This is so they are mounted securely and do not run the risk of slipping and causing problems.

How much weight can the Cargo Packs carry?

The weight you can carry in the bags on the cages depends on how many bolts you have mounted the cage on. We recommend you can carry 1.5kg per bolts used. Therefore if you are using 3 bolts, you can carry up to 4.5kg.

I am worried that my cage pack will rub:

All cage packs will have some movement during use and therefore pack abrasion will happen. However, to extend the life of the product the 3L and 5L packs have an anti-abrasion patch welded to the rear of the bag where it touches the cage that will extend the life of the bag.

Do they include straps?

No, the cargo straps for the cage packs must be purchased separately, we have 40, 50 and 65cm length straps available.

Which size Cage Pack should I use with Tailfin Cargo Cages?

The 3L Cargo Pack will fit either the Small or Large Cage well. If you are interested in the 1.7 or 5L Packs then we recommend Small & Large Cages, respectively.

What size straps for what size bag?

There are 3 cargo strap options, 40, 50 and 65cm. The 40cm straps are to be used with the 1.7L Cage Pack, the 50cm straps suit the 3L and 5L cage packs, and the 65cm straps fit the 5L cage packs.

What are the differences between Fork Packs and Cage Packs?

Fork Packs use a mini x-clamp mounting system rather than a cage and straps like the cage packs. The Fork Packs have a rigid internal frame so cannot be removed and folded away so easily when not being used. Fork Packs come in sizes 5L and 10L. The Cage Packs are a soft bag which are strapped to the Cage which is mounted to all 3 bolts on a fork or Tailfin Alloy Rack/AeroPack. These bags are removable and can be folded away when not being used in another bag. The Cage Packs come in 1.7L, 3L and 5L.

Are T-Hook Straps included?

T-Hook Straps are only included with the 5L Cage Packs.
