Radiates quality

Immediately out of the box Tailfin feels like a qulaity product. Installation is super easy, even for me, who is backwards on all things mechanical :)
The pannier attaches and detaches quickly and securely. Love it.

The two things could have been better though:

1) I have a cross bike. The rack is super close to the tire. it doesn't get in the way, but there's absolutely no way to fit the included mudguard.
2) Another issue is with the pannier itself. Closing and opening it is a process. It could have used some external pocket to store small items like keys and phone for quick access. The included shoulder strap needs to be taken off during the ride, with nowhere to store it, except maybe into the pannier itself. Not very comfortable transitioning between bike and walking. However, once on the shoulder it sits pretty well. (with the attachment mechanism on the outside)

Superb riding performance

My first test of the T1 was on a jaunt to Antwerp, packing a single pannier to the hilt. The route included a fair amount of climbing through the High Weald, and sprinty bits on the lovely Belgian canalside routes. The whole setup was extremely rigid, with no perceptible movement during cycling, especially while climbing. Both the rack and the pannier feel as light as possible, while the integrated sleeve protected a 13-in laptop perfectly. The pannier has a tapered shape that keeps things in place with literally zero movement once everything is secured, and mounts at an angle, which keeps it out of the way during the pedal stroke, even on a smaller frame (I ride a 51). The instruction leaflet can be much improved, and include instructions for thru-axle setups, but I understand this is on the way.

Rigid & Suitable for all tube-shapes

I bought (T1+SL) for an extended weekend tour. I really like that there is no movement between bags and rack (and also between bike and rack). Something that made me mad on conventional racks. The second very positive point is that the rack can be fixed on all my bicycles, no matter if round or aero-shaped tubes. Therefore I can use it on my Aero-bike without any problem. The size of the bags was good for my 4-day tour and I would also recommend it for a week-long tour.
There is only one thing that can be improved from my point of view: The set comes with several slightly different sizes of bolts. This should be commonized, so that only a single tool is necessary.

Money well spent!

I have been using this (T1 + SL) now about two months and 2000 km (commuting and bike packing) and I have to say that this is a great product! The rack is very stable and you don´t even notice the weight. Quality of the product is excellent.
I had some issues with the seat post connector but customer service worked well and I got a new part.
Overall I´m very contented with the product and service.
