What Are Boosters?

By using Tailfin’s Boosters you can quickly and easily make your T1 rack fully compatible with other brands of pannier bag. Please note - this isn't a perfect science, some will fit better than others.

The T1 - a strong, beautiful and quick-release carbon bike rack

Do more with the bike(s) you love.

Quick and easy to fit or remove

Ingenious quick release design makes it simple for you to use one rack for all of your bikes or one bike for everything.

Working with you to keep your ride smooth and stable

The rigid, wishbone-design carbon frame offers exceptional agility, with no sway or rattle.

Cares for your bike just as well as you do

The rubber grip fits to any seatpost (including deep aero) with no risk of damage.

When it comes to performance, every gram counts

The T1's lightweight carbon frame weighs just 350 grams (that's less than a can of coke).

Keep your rack protected and secure

Anti-theft security screws disable the quick release function and secure the rack to your bike.

No adjustments necessary

The ‘plug and play’ design avoids the need for any awkward adjustments, saving you time.

"Peerless stability, total absence of rattle, very light, incredibly quick and easy to fit and remove. 4.5/5"

High quality

I got the matte black version, and it's breathtaking how well it matches my black Trek Boone 9. You would think they were meant to go together. Installation is easy, although positioning the angle of the quick release leaver relative to the mount is a little tricky. It's also shockingly lightweight. Cheers to the product design team for getting this right.

Brilliant Product

I have been using the Tailfin for a month now and I am still at awe of the quiality and solid performance of it. I will definitely recommend it to my peers. I am also looking at their new product line!

Second purchase

I bought a tail fin pannier rack after my husband used his with great success. Have a long ride in north of England soon so wanted a pannier for gear and snacks and have been riding with it recently to get used to it. Lots of people have admired it and I am very pleased so far - just need to stop buying things as I have somewhere to put them!

Tailfin pannier rack with Ortleib panniers

I searched to find a good solid seat post pannier rack. Tailfin did not disappoint. Fits great and functions well.
Excellent customer service helping me choose the correct axel.
I am now enjoying my tour and am at Lake Garda- it’s beautiful:-)
Boosters work well with my Ortleib pannier bags. Needed new inserts so it fit snuggly to rack without rattling (old 8mm inserts were no good: 10/12mm works perfectly). If I’d known Tailfin existed a year ago when I started touring, I would have bought the whole set, but couldn’t justify the expense with nearly new pannier bags.

Overall great product. Pricey but excellent design: my bike was set up in minutes compared to my friends fiddling around trying get theirs sorted with a variety of tools. I did feel a little smug.

Excellent so far.

Excellent design and execution. It's very well engineered and very easy to fit in seconds. I've been after a lightweight, quick release pannier rack and there's nothing else like this on the market. Once fitted it's rock solid and works great with my ortlieb panniers. Can't comment on longevity, but all good so far. I'd give the product five stars, but overall I'm giving four stars because there's a few rough edges with the customer service (had to wait a week for delivery, missed an item from the order, no instructions for the thru axel) and the price of accessories is high in my opinion.
