Replace your axle with a Tailfin axle to mount the Tailfin rack. Most bicycles use a Quick Release axle, however, we also support the new Thru Axle standards (e.g. 12x142, 12x148, E-Thru, Syntace X-12, etc)

Excellent design and execution. It's very well engineered and very easy to fit in seconds. I've been after a lightweight, quick release pannier rack and there's nothing else like this on the market. Once fitted it's rock solid and works great with my ortlieb panniers. Can't comment on longevity, but all good so far. I'd give the product five stars, but overall I'm giving four stars because there's a few rough edges with the customer service (had to wait a week for delivery, missed an item from the order, no instructions for the thru axel) and the price of accessories is high in my opinion.
I have always struggled to find a luggage system for my bike that was lightweight, elegant yet robust. I hate backpacks. Most racks are heavy and look out of place on a carbon-framed road bike and some of the larger bike bag solutions look absurd. Then I came across Tailfin. It fulfills all of my requirements. It is light, functional and is beautifully constructed. Easy to fit and secure. I bought the extensions To give me the option to use other makes of panniers.
A great item. I highly recommend it
I have a road bike, but like to have panniers cos I use it for local food shopping too. My old rack was fairly heavy, which is fine when you are shopping and not going for MPH, but not so good for keeping up with the girls. Tailfin T1 is just perfect; it was easy to fit, is super light weight and even matches my bike (white). I bought the booster bars and so my existing rear trunk/pannier bag sits on well. Although, I might go for the Aeropack when it ships... :-)
I've been using my tailfin rack for 4 months. And what can I say, it's the best rack I've ever had - very good job!
