"The 5L & 10L Mini Panniers are completely silent, waterproof, and more secure than anything else I’ve tried. Complete with variable straps, it’s hard to convey how well-engineered and thought through they are. For smaller riders especially, these Mini Panniers make all the difference in carrying capacity, without adding unduly to the overall weight of your rig. And, they’ll work with your existing, non-Tailfin racks too"

"If you’re looking for a versatile pannier that is perfectly suited for commuting while equally excelling as a rugged touring pannier, or if 16L strikes the right sizing balance for you, it’s hard to think of a bag that I could recommend more. This is especially true if you’ve already got an AeroPack or Tailfin’s rack, which integrate perfectly with the mount to create a waterproof and rattle-free system"

"For anyone who uses their bike for just about everything, be it touring or grocery shopping or riding to work, these one-size-does-most panniers really hit a sweet spot, and they’ve become our most oft-used bags. In terms of sizing for bikepacking specifically, they remain compact enough not to feel unwieldy when rolled down, despite what the numbers suggest. Plus, there’s ample expandable room for additional food on more remote trips or cold weather gear in winter"

Our Mini Panniers follow the same modular design as the rest of our products which means that all parts are replaceable and can be repaired at home if anything happens. Despite being made from durable materials we know accidents do happen. We offer a crash replacement policy to provide you with a replacement bag for a discounted price or in some instances if the damage isn't too severe we can repair most items. For more information on this see our Tailfin Care guarantee.

Yes, all mini panniers come with 2 sets of T-Hook compression straps. These straps are removable from the pannier quickly and easily, allowing you the flexibility of using or not using them, dependent on your carrying needs.

Yes, all our bags are high-frequency, ultrasonically welded, so are 100% waterproof - not a drop can enter the bag when closed, even in a torrential downpour.

They are secured to the rack via our X Clamp technology - a precision-engineered, CNC machined aluminium stop-action clamp which tightly secures the bag to the rack in 2 places, eliminating all rattle and movement when riding even off-road.

The bags remove and attach easily in a matter of seconds.

Weight distribution importance

Just made a 3 day/300+ miles trial trip to check my gear and rear hind.
For this ride I used two Tailfin 10liter panniers and my rear top bag. I had my cutthroat frame bag and top tube bag and bottles mounted on the fork. In this setup all the weight is pretty much in the back. I found the bike to be responsive and stable but…. I would not do a tour on the divide with this setup. Hard to push the bike on loose muddy trails above 15% , very difficult at 20% knocking my legs against the side bag specially in the dark and in narrow trails. To carry the bike on my shoulder was also painful and put me out of balance climbing.
Last year I did the TD with the tailfin rear top bag and my handlebar bag and the water bottle cages on the fork, personally I find that a much easier setup if one anticipates having to carry the bike on hike a bike sections. I have also used anything cages on the fork and a seat bag and can handle carrying the loaded bike resting the seat on my shoulder. The Tailfin top bag is definitely much more stable than a seat pack.

Perfect travel equipment

After several trips on gravel and road bikes, there are two things I would no longer do without. 1. the carbon luggage carrier is ingeniously designed, robust and beautifully shaped. 2. the support from Tailfin is unique in all areas. The support is so unique that you always have the feeling that you are the only customer they are looking after.
