FAQ's

What's included?

3 x 18.5cm strap 1 x 40cm strap
2 x M5x18mm T25 screws, 2 x Washers
1 x Internal divider

What bikes can they be used on?

The Long Top Tube Bags can be used on any bike frame with a straight or slightly sloping top tube that can accommodate the length of one of the bags. The two smaller sizes (1.6L and 2.2L) are recommended for use on any style of bike e.g. road, gravel or MTB and the larger, wider 3.0L is intended for use on mountain bikes (or for riders that have a wider pedalling stance and are unaffected by knee rub).

Is it safe to cinch on a carbon frame?

Absolutely. Even when tightened correctly, the straps are safe to use on carbon frames.

Do I need to use protective tape?

When tightened correctly our V-Mounts and straps should not move or damage your frame. If you are concerned or are intending on riding in conditions where you will encounter mud, grit or sand then we suggest using tape as a fail-safe.

Do I need to use a strap at the back if I’m screwing the bag in place?

Due to the additional length and increased leverage we recommend using the rear V-Mount and strap to prevent the bag from vibrating and damaging the frame.

I’m undecided on size, how can I check?

You can find full spec images with accurate measurements on the product page (above this FAQ list). Consider what you want to carry, the style of bike you are riding and also the length of the top tube to work out which is best for you.

Will it work with my Tailfin frame bag?

Yes. The positioning of the V-Mounts on the Long Top Tube Bags matches the V-Mounts on our frame bags so you can share straps.

Is there a weight limit when using the bag?

We recommend 1kg for off-road use and 2kg for road use as a weight limit. The weight limit will be somewhat tube-shape dependent, and if you were finding that the pack starts to rotate or slip, then that is when you know you are above the weight limit.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. The Long Top Tube Bag is constructed of waterproof materials and when the zips are securely stowed in the zip garages the bag is functionally waterproof. As with any bag featuring zip technology, we recommend that any vital electronic equipment is also placed in a secondary waterproof pack.

Is the inside compartment replaceable?

The inner can be removed for cleaning. Please contact us if you require a replacement.

Why is there no flip version?

Due to the increased length a flip opening is simply not practical as it would expose all the contents and run the risk of your load being lost when riding.

What size phone can I fit in each pack?

All three sizes can accommodate an iPhone 16 or equivalent. Please refer to the spec images above for the actual dimensions of each bag.
