Step-by-step guide to fitting the Tailfin SRAM Eagle Transmission Adaptor;
– First, shift the chain to the red setup gear on your cassette as per SRAM’s manual. Leave the original axle fitted for now too.
– Next, remove the original bolt from the rear mech.
– Apply grease to the outer body and shoulder of the new Tailfin bolt.
– With the bike’s original axle still in place, fit the new Tailfin bolt using a 12mm hex or the included 8mm hex reducer. Tighten the adaptor to 35Nm
– Remove the original Thru-Axle from your bike
– Finally, fit the Tailfin Thru-Axle.
