You’ve set up camp, your legs are heavy, and If you’re anything like us, the last thing on your mind is cooking a fancy meal. What if we told you fancy doesn’t mean tricky and that you can finally say goodbye to instant noodles?
In 2019 Sam and Bec swapped rent for tent. Whilst riding in New Zealand they hunkered down for a night on the Old Ghost Road. Held up in a small refuge: Sam and Bec felt envy sweep across their fellow bikepackers. Not satisfied by soggy sarnies and instant ramen, they knew a properly cooked meal would keep them going for the many KM’s ahead. Making friends through meals quickly became the driving force behind the Bikepacking Cookbook.
The Bikepacking Cookbook is a digital cookbook born out of a desire to help people eat better food on bike-touring trips. Sam and Bec have now eliminated any excuse we have for not eating well on the bike. Food is a great leveller, we all ride for different reasons but a good hearty meal will be enjoyed by all travellers.
